LET'S GO ON AN ADVENTURE
hello beautiful soul
MY NAME IS DONNA MAHONEY, I AM A YOGA ENTHUSIAST, REIKI MASTER, LIGHT-SEEKING, WORLD TRAVELER.
I began my yoga practice almost 2 decades ago. The inward journey led me to my dream of being a yoga teacher and studio owner so that others may have that same experience.
With over 2000 registered teaching hours with Yoga Alliance, I enjoy teaching Vinyasa, Restorative/Yin Yoga and Meditation class styles. I have a passion for bringing women together for friendship and connection.
Join me for an incredible week of connecting, laughter, fun and leaning into going with the flow as you unwind, unplug, reset, and enjoy everything a yoga retreat has to offer.
In a world filled with distractions and demands, yoga and mindfulness are great ways to hit pause, pay attention and return to the present moment by focusing on what is directly in front of us. The only moment that exists. With journal prompts throughout our time together you may find it easy to get clear on what is important in your life and sink into your intentions.

In addition to leading retreats Internationally and in the US, I own 2 yoga studios in WI, am a Reiki Master, lead private events for local businesses and teach weekly classes. Building and staying connected to the community is something I'm incredibly passionate about.
This or That
COFFEE OR TEA?
Coffee- it’s all about the smell and the flavored creamer for me! No, flavored coffee is not the same. I do love my Chai Rooibos (Yogi) tea too!
LAKE OR OCEAN?
Ocean! Unless it is a big lake, like the one I live next to (Lake Michigan). It is the flow of the waves rolling on shore that relaxes and soothes me.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME
SWEET OR SALTY?
Both! I enjoy my ice-cream treats but also love chips. When I treat myself to ice-cream it’s usually raspberry cheesecake, mint chocolate chip or salted caramel pecan.
BAREFOOT OR SHOES?
There’s nothing like feeling the sand between your toes, the grass beneath your feet or the feeling of water rushing up to you ankles. Barefoot! Plus, being barefoot stretches and strengthens our feet for balance!
COMFY OR TRENDY?
It is all about comfort for me. I think comfy can be trendy (at least that’s what I tell myself)! The comfiest cozy days for me starts when the Hallmark Christmas movies premiere. Yes, that is in October! A tree goes up and decorations come out the day before. Comfy isn’t just in the clothes, it’s in the feel. Think twinkle lights galore, fuzzy blanket and a recliner. That’s where I will be in any free time I have October-December!
SUNRISE OR SUNSET?
I love the sunrise and what magic will unfold. Watching it rise across the water is my favorite.
The gift of a sunset is when I sink into gratitude for all that happened during the day. Every moment of it.
There is a lesson in it all!
I am known for my unique self-expression, and inspirational style of teaching that incorporates both the physical and mystical aspects of practicing yoga. My classes integrate vinyasa flow asana (linking breath to movement) with alignment queues, meditation, visualization and intention to create an inner journey that encourages healing, strength, and empowerment.

Favorite Things
SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS
FAVORITE TV BINGE
Schitt’s Creek! I have watched it THREE times and will watch it a 4+ more times! It’s the humor, how it is delivered and the bantering between David and Alexis….and so much more! One of my favorite scenes is when Patrick serenades David with Simply The Best (Tina Turner). Of course, another would then be when David reciprocates and sings it back. It is simply the best!
FAVORITE MUSIC
My playlists have such a WIDE range! I love everything from The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks), Coldplay, Trever Hall, Beautiful Chorus, Forest Blaak and so many more amazing artists. 70’s to current- if I feel a connection and it moves something within me, I’m there for it!
FAVORITE FOOD
Pizza any day and time of the week! If I could have just one food for the rest of my life it would be pizza. There is breakfast, fruit, and dessert pizza…how can you go wrong! Plus, there is thin, thick, or cookie dough crust and you can cook it in the oven or over a fire. So many possibilities! Lol.
FAVORITE BOOKS
I have a habit of getting into 2-3 books at once. I know, probably not a good habit but hear me out! I usually have 1-2 on audio so I can listen while on the go + a paperback. I love being able to turn down the corners, underline and highlight the parts that I connect with most. I typically read books that have spiritual insight (think The Universe Has Your Back, The Four Agreements, The Yoga Sutras) or books where others share their healing journey (Revolution Of The Soul, To Love And Let Go) in that maybe there is a little “tool” in there that will help me in my own. We are all here to heal, right?!
FAVORITE TIME OF DAY
I am absolutely a morning person. I am in bed by 9:30 and should actually probably be in bed by 9! I can’t commit to anything that might take me too close to when I need to be in bed. Ha! I have the most energy and ideas in early morning. Even on the weekends I am by 5:30, my poor husband. In between waking and starting my workday. I take time to check in with myself, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I connect with my breathe, listen to my inspiration for the day, make my coffee (sometimes I don’t get to it until an hour later- I told you, it’s about the smell!) and then start my workday (by 7:00).
The hard part for me is not texting someone before 7:00 with an idea or thought! If it’s something I am really excited about I will send an email or if I know they are a morning person too, I call!
THE I STRAY THE CLOSER I FEEL TO MYSELF.

family is everything
I currently reside in Suamico, WI with my amazingly supportive husband of over 30 years, Tim. We have 2 grown children (Jordan & Taylor), a daughter-in-law (Bridgett), and two cutie patootie grandkids. I work full time managing the studio, teaching studio classes, curating retreats + studio "magic," working with my reiki clients, and supporting the community.
My hobbies include traveling with my husband and our family, gardening, time in nature, and being creative.
We scoop up every chance we can to do things as a family. Dinner, cutting our own Christmas tree, home renovations, trips to Alaska, Sedona, Upper MI... there is no such thing as too big or small of an experience.
Chloe loves assisting and visiting the
studio.
Tim surprised me with trip to Sedona on my 50th birthday. It was such a magical experience!
My husband Tim & I are high school sweethearts and celebrating 32 years of marriage!
Forever grateful for these amazing souls! Our family tradition is to cut down our Christmas tree each year. We have been doing this for over 20 years.
I'm a grandma!! These two sweet munchkins have me wrapped around their little fingers....and I wouldn't have it any other way!
