Connect with your MAGIC in the new year in an escape from the day-to-day on the Mexican Pacific Coast in this all women retreat. Donna and Sarah will guide daily gratitude filled yoga practices, with stunning views of the ocean. Our days will be filled with nourishing farm to table gourmet meals, workshops to reset the mind, body, and soul, the flow of the water and sand under your feet will bring back your inner child, we'll feel connected with each other and nature while exploring, and have plenty of time to play, rest and relax.

At Playa Viva, just outside of Zihuatanejo, they believe in the simple luxury of nature. Their property is situated on a mile of pristine private beach surrounded by lush green palms. We will be immersed in nature in at this beautiful eco luxury resort. You will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves and wake to the singing birds. There is 75 species of birds on the 200 acre property-wow! We'll have nature at our doorstep-literally. As guests we will have an opportunity to visit the on-site sea turtle sanctuary, look for dolphins playing nearby, birds singing their songs and maybe even an iguana or other natural inhabitants passing by.
Tour the on-site farm where they grow some of their food, including coconuts, mangos, cashews, tamarind, tomatoes, lettuces, cactus and many other delights.With each passing moment at Playa Viva, you’ll feel more connected to the natural world around you.

The architecture of our resort is designed in harmony with the natural surroundings, sustainably built with breathtaking beauty and style. Our venue is heart-centered just like Dragonfly Yoga Retreats. They will share their love for Mexico with us and deeply enrich our experience of the land they love. Creating a sense of community among guests and staff is a common theme we both share.

Round trip group airport transfer from Zihuatanejo (ZIH) airport to/from our venue on 1/13 and 1/19. Book the flight that works for you on dates listed, transfer will be coordinated for you and your flight times to/from the airport. Check in begins at 3:00 on 1/13. Check out is by 11:00 am on 1/19.You can lounge in the common area if arriving early/leaving late.

QUEEN ECOCASITA (little house)
This one-bedroom EcoCasita provides complete privacy, and is the only room outfitted with a Queen bed (a single bed can be added, but this makes it a little crowded).
These Casita's have an unobstructed ocean view. Queen EcoCasitas have a private bathroom on the same level and feature sliding doors that that open for a 180° degree ocean view or close for complete privacy. A small table and chairs are also available. This is a shared space with a total of 2 people. See solo booking option below.

DELUXE SUITES
The Deluxe Suite is a spacious room with 3 single beds. Deluxe Suites are part of a 4-Bedroom Casita (one larger structure) consisting of two Deluxe Suites.

Deluxe Suites have a private bath and share a large balcony with the other Deluxe Suite that serves as a large outdoor living room containing a couch, chairs and a table. Deluxe Suites have an unobstructed ocean view. This is a shared space with a total of 3-4 people max.

KING ECOCASITA (little house)
King EcoCasitas are one room spaces that provide complete privacy. These rooms have an unobstructed ocean view. King EcoCasitas have a private bathroom on the same level and have shutter doors that can open for a full ocean view or close for complete privacy. King EcoCasitas are also outfitted with a small desk and chair. This is a shared space with 3-4 people max.
STUDIOS
Studios have an unobstructed ocean view and include either two single beds or a king bed upon request. The room also has a desk. While the studio has visual privacy from the adjoining Deluxe Suite, the room has limited audio privacy due to the Casita's vaulted palapa ceilings. Studios have a private bathroom downstairs away from the bedroom area. This is a shared space with a max of 2 people total.

This retreat was spectacular. The entire adventure was very well organized and plenty of time to restore and explore with free time. The jungle was oceanside and an experience I will never forget. The flora and fauna was something truly to behold. Waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the jungle and waves is forever imprinted on my heart and soul.

DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?
WHAT IF I'M TRAVELING SOLO?
No problem! Donna will match you with a compatible solo traveler with whom you are comfortable. Prefer a private space? Private accommodations may be available at additional cost.
I cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.

I have used Allianz Travel Insurance for both domestic and international insurance. Another option for price comparison is Travel Insurance. Ask questions and do research to find the best option for you.
WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT TERMS & CANCELLATION POLICY?
A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $500 (+ $35 processing fee) SAVES YOUR SPOT.
50% of your retreat remaining balance due by July 15, 2023. Final payment by due December 1, 2023. If booking after one or both payment dates, payment due within 5 days of booking. Payment amount will depend on retreat start date. Payments can be check or money order. Credit card payments available. A 3% transaction fee applies. All payments are final. No refunds available unless retreat would be cancelled due to low registration or other unplanned for event. Full guidelines under terms and conditions.

CAN I BOOK WITH A FRIEND?
Absolutely! We have shared room accommodations that can sleep 2+ people in either a queen or separate beds. Please send me a note if you are booking with a partner or friend and I will make sure you are placed in the same accommodation!
ANY THOUGHTS ON JOINING A RETREAT BY MYSELF IF I'VE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE?
WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
Playa Viva serves nourishing food and refreshments sourced directly from their local organic farm and neighboring farms. In addition to their food being healthy and delicious, they can also accommodate nearly any and all dietary restrictions. You can share restrictions on the intake form that will be sent in the month leading out to our retreat together and we will make sure you are taken care of!
I went on my first ever retreat knowing no one except for the retreat leader and had the most incredible experience. I loved having the space to meet new people and also spend quality time with myself in whatever way felt nourishing moment to moment. I was placed in a shared room with another woman who started as a kind stranger and quickly became a close friend by the end of the retreat. If you’re feeling called, I can’t recommend a solo experience enough!
WILL THERE BE FREE TIME?
You bet! Aside from our 1-2 daily practices, the rest of the day can be spent however your heart desires. Whether you’re looking to spend hours relaxing, reading and bathing in the ocean or pool, book a spa treatment, or experience the local adventures from mountain ATVing to surfing and snorkeling, we’ve got options to make this trip exactly what you need it to be. Everything activity on this retreat is totally optional! We recommend you participate in the daily movement and meditations classes to experience the beneficial effects of the practice throughout the retreat, but this week is truly about relaxing, resetting and connecting back to your true magical self in a way that feels best for YOU.

I began my yoga practice almost 2 decades ago. The inward journey led me to my dream of being a yoga teacher and studio owner so that others may have that same experience. With over 1000 registered teaching hours, I enjoy teaching Vinyasa, Restorative/Yin and Meditation class styles. I have a passion for bringing women together for friendship and connection. Join me for an incredible week of connecting, laughter, fun and leaning into going with the flow (this is more than what it may sound like-join me to find out more!) as you unwind, unplug, reset and enjoy everything this island paradise has to offer.

In a world filled with distractions and demands, yoga and mindfulness are great ways to hit pause, pay attention and return to the present moment by focusing on what is directly in front of us. The only moment that exists. With journal prompts throughout our time together you may find it easy to get clear on what is important in your life and sink into your new year intentions.

In addition to leading retreats Internationally and in the US, I own 2 yoga studios in WI, am a Reiki Master, lead private events for local businesses and teach weekly classes.
